My sweater progress is slow! The top pic is the back of the sweater (unblocked) and the bottom pic is the front of the sweater...well whats done of it so far. It would be cheaper and take much less time to just go to the store and buy one. But then I wouldn't be able to say I made it. Well I could...but that would be lying (hysterical laughter here).

Alright, it seems as though there is some cozie confusion. I have been on this weird kick to cover everything I know with knitted fabric. I think I may have to make a Cozie cozie. A place to keep all of my cozies.

So, I am sitting at Nathan's Grill and Pub with my co-workers having lunch and my son sends me a test message. This causes me to pull my phone out and expose the knitted cozie. This caused quite a stir at the table. One of the girls asked if my mother had made it for me *CRINGE*

She asked me to make her one! SPREAD THE KNIT PEOPLE....SPREAD THE KNIT.

Alright, the pic's not good and the date isn't right on my camera BUT I did knit this cute little cell phone cozie for my phone last night. It's just this cute little garter stitch! So easy!! Now if I could just figure out how to change the date on my camera. HAHA.

Ok, I just don't get why people automatically think I am old and boring when they find out I am a knitter. As my friend did the other day...*GASP* YOU KNIT!!! OMG!! ...*sigh*... YES!!! I knit! So what! A lot of creative and interesting people have gotten thier knit on! For example according to Stitch N' Bitch the knitters handbook...

Audrey & Katherine Hepburn, Bette Davis, Cameron Diaz, Goldie Hawn (obviously not a tough craft to learn), Russell Crow, Kate moss (I guess you have to do something to not think about eating), Lucille ball, Madonna, Isaac Mizarhi, Debra Messing, and my personal favorite...Mary, mother of Christ.

That's just a handful of the people listed. Those ladies(and gentlemen) don't sound like boring folks to me! What a knitting guild THAT would have been, EH!

KNIT ON!!

Knitting isn't just for Grandma anymore

Last year about this time my friend Misty sat me down with 2 of her needles and a ball of string and started speaking in some sort of foreign language. cast on, bind off, k, p, pps...is this Latin??? It was knitting. Since then I have made enough scarves to keep the entire population of Alaska warm.

I am branching out this year!
